TRIATHLON RACE DISTANCES

There are many different types of triathlon distances, ranging from the sprint distance to Ironman.  Here's the typical breakdown for some of the more common distances:
Sprint
- .1/4 mile to 3/4 mile swim, 10-20 mile bike, 2-3 mile run
Olympic/International - .93 mile swim (1.5K), 40K bike, 10K run
Half-Ironman/Long Course - 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Ironman - 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run


CYCLING "USAT TRIATHLON RACE RULES"
· Ride on the right side of your lane.
· Keep 7 meters (roughly three bike lengths) between yourself and the cyclist in front of you.

· Pass on the left of the cyclist in front, never on the right.

·
Complete your pass within 15 seconds.
· If passed, you must drop completely out of the zone, to the rear, before attempting to re-pass.
